M&S bag packing raised funds for the Hospice
Marks and Spencer in Barnsley Town Centre raised a fantastic amount of £7,115 for Barnsley Hospice.
The store hosted a number of activities throughout December which included inviting two choirs in to perform, holding an internal staff sale and offering Hospice volunteers to help with Christmas bag packing.
Sam Silverwood, Barnsley Hospice Assistant Fundraising Manager, said “We are very grateful to have the support of Marks and Spencer and their customers and would like to thank them all for their generous donations to Barnsley Hospice. We would also like to say a huge thank you to all who supported the Hospice by volunteering in our team of bag packers. We highly appreciate the help and support we receive from the local community as it enables us to continue to provide compassionate expert care for the people across Barnsley.”
Barnsley Hospice relies on the generosity of companies such as Marks & Spencer and volunteers from the local community to help raise the vital funds to provide specialist compassionate care for hundreds of families every year.
Companies and individuals can support Barnsley Hospice in a number of ways, from being part of our team of bag packers, raising funds within the workplace, hosting an event or even volunteering at one of the Hospice events.
