Housing firm brings home funds for hospice

A funding injection from Barnsley-based Berneslai Homes Ltd will help provide specialist compassionate care for our patients.

Social housing providers Berneslai Homes have raised £2,811 from a series of fundraising events, including seasonal raffles, competitions, quizzes and cake sales. They also organised the ‘Rock for BH’ music festival at Gilroyd Social Club in December.

Simon Atkinson, our corporate fundraiser, said: “Berneslai Homes have always been big supporters and we’re really appreciative of their latest fundraising efforts. It sounds like the staff had a great time raising the cash, which in turn will make a difference to the patients and families who need us.”

Stephen Davis, director of assets, regeneration and construction at Berneslai Homes, said: “Barnsley Hospice is a charity which provides hugely important care for the Barnsley community, so we wanted to do our bit to support them. I’d like to thank every member of staff who helped us generate the money.”
