Unfortunately, due to low numbers, this year’s circus-themed Midnight Walk will not be taking place.
The event carries a significant cost to put on, which is covered by entry fees, so that every penny raised by walkers goes directly to helping us care for patients and their families. The low level of sign-ups at this stage means it is not viable to hold the event.
We appreciate this will be disappointing news for those who have already signed up to the walk, but we hope you understand why we have had to make this difficult decision. Entry fees will be refunded – please email fundraising@barnsleyhospice.org or call 01226 244244.
All participants will be notified on an individual basis.
The Midnight Walk has taken place every year since 2007 and we are hugely grateful to every single person who has taken part, volunteered, or supported someone with sponsorship. Unfortunately, all good things have to come to an end, but the Midnight Walk memories will live on.
It’s not all bad news as we are planning an exciting new family event to take place at the end of October, so please keep an eye out for details!
