Barnsley Hospice is proud to announce a new partnership with local car dealership TrustFord Barnsley.
As part of the new partnership, the people of Barnsley will have the chance to enjoy a completely free test-drive in a new electric Ford vehicle at a special one-day event at Barnsley Hospice, with TrustFord donating £30 to the hospice for every unique test-drive.
A maximum of 200 test-drives can be accommodated, taking place on Saturday 10 May (9 am to 5 pm) meaning a potential £6,000 donation which will directly help the hospice provide vital palliative and end of life care to local people and their loved ones. The Drive 4UR Community initiative is the first-of-its-kind to happen in the local area, with the scheme helping other charities across the country.
Barnsley Hospice’s CEO/Chief Nurse, Martine Tune, said, “We are proud to have this new exciting partnership with TrustFord and really grateful to host their Drive 4UR Community which can have a hugely positive impact on our finances. Hopefully the people of Barnsley will show their wonderful support by enjoying a free, short test-drive at the hospice in one of these lovely new vehicles and they’ll be helping us continue to deliver outstanding care to the community.“Our lovely new fleet of vehicles from TrustFord will not only help us in our daily operations, such as collecting and delivering from our Retail hub, and attending vital fundraising events, but they give us a real presence around the area, too.”
Chris Maidens, General Manager of TrustFord Barnsley, said: “At TrustFord, we’re always looking for meaningful ways to give back to our local communities, and we truly value our partnership with Barnsley Hospice. Whether it’s through the donation of vehicles, financial support, or community events like Drive 4UR Community, we’re committed to helping them continue the incredible work they do every single day.”
Pre-booking is not essential, but you can register your interest via the Barnsley Hospice website events pagehere. You must bring your valid driving licence with you on the day.
