Support Barnsley Hospice from 15,000 ft! In honour of our 30th anniversary year, we have 30 spaces for hospice supporters to take on this once in a lifetime challenge in support of our patient care.
Tick something off your bucket list with this adrenaline-fuelled fundraiser and reach speeds of up to 120mph! What’s more, every penny you raise will help us to ensure we can provide our outstanding services to the local community for the next 30 years and beyond.
My advice to anyone thinking of doing it is, don’t think, just do it! This experience will change you forever. And, this is coming from someone who is scared of heights and flying!

How can I get involved?
If you’re up for the challenge, fill in the form below to secure your spot in our 2024 Skydive.
Along with a registration fee of £50, you must raise a minimum £400 in sponsorship, which also includes the cost of your skydive. The more sponsorship you raise, the more your fundraising will contribute to supporting the services we provide for hundreds of local families each year.
This challenge can also be completed by corporate groups. If your business would like to take on a Skydive for Barnsley Hospice but can’t do our planned date, we can help organise a new event for your team. Get in touch with our fundraising team to find out more.
The deadline for signing up is 23 May, but don’t delay as we may close the event early if it sells out!
Please Note: Your confirmation email may go to your spam inbox.

Frequently Asked Questions
How much do I need to raise?
To secure your place, all skydivers must pay a £50 registration fee and raise a minimum of £400 sponsorship. This sponsorship will cover the cost of your skydive as well as make a huge difference to local people living with a life-limiting illness and those close to them.
Can I do it in a team?
As we mentioned, we have 30 places for this year’s event, so you are welcome to encourage family and friends to sign up too! We cannot guarantee you will all take to the skies at the same time, but you will be able to enjoy the day together. If you’re skydiving with a group, you still need to register your interest and pay the registration fee separately so we can confirm numbers and ensure you all have a place.
How do I raise the sponsorship?
To collect sponsorship you can download one of our sponsorship forms. Or if you’d prefer to collect online, a JustGiving page is a straightforward way to gather donations.
Hannah from our Fundraising team is here if you need any help with setting up a JustGiving page or collecting sponsorship.
Can I bring people to watch?
Spectators are welcome at Skydive Hibaldstow to watch you skydive. Dogs are not permitted on the airfield.
Is travel to the skydive provided?
Travel to Skydive Hibaldstow is not provided. All participants will need to make their own arrangements to and from the airfield.
What should I wear for the skydive?
All the safety equipment, such as goggles, headgear and a jumpsuit, will be provided by the Skydive Centre. You are advised to wear loose-fitting comfortable clothes and flat-soled shoes or trainers. If you have long hair, remember to bring a bobble to tie it back!
Of course, we will also provide an orange hospice t-shirt for everyone.
