We’re excited to announce a brand-new partnership with local car dealership, TrustFord Barnsley! It’s one that could help drive real change for Barnsley Hospice!
As part of TrustFord’s Drive 4UR Community initiative, they’ll be hosting a one-day-only test-drive event at the hospice on Saturday 10 May, 9 am – 5 pm. On the day, supporters can test-drive a brand new electric Ford vehicle, in-return Barnsley Hospice will receive a £30 donation from TrustFord.
For every unique test-drive completed on the day, TrustFord will donate £30 to Barnsley Hospice—with the potential to raise up to £6,000 if we hit the target of 200 test-drives! These funds will directly help the hospice provide vital palliative and end of life care to local people and their loved ones.

Frequently Asked Questions
What happens on the day?
On the day, you can arrive at the hospice from 9 am, where you’ll be welcomed by #TeamHospice and the TrustFord team. After a quick check-in and providing your details for insurance purposes, the TrustFord team will assign you a test-drive in your chosen electric vehicle.
While you wait, you can enjoy refreshments and a seat in our Orangery gardens! Once it’s your turn, you’ll take to the road and experience the drive of a fully electric Ford vehicle. When you return, Barnsley Hospice will receive a £30 donation—just for you taking part!
Please ensure you bring your driver’s licence with you on the day, otherwise you will be unable to take a test drive.
Do I need to book?
No, pre-booking isn’t necessary. However, we do ask that you register your interest in advance if possible!
What is a ‘unique test drive’?
A unique test drive means only one £30 donation will be made by TrustFord to Barnsley Hospice per person. Supporters can test drive multiple cars on the day, but only one drive will count for the £30 donation.
