What is Elf Run?
Elf Run is BACK for its second year. In 2023, we had a record-breaking 9,400 ‘elves’ taking part and raised over £37,000!
Can we reach an even bigger total this year? We can’t do it without your help, so gather your team, put on your elf hats – which we provide once you’ve signed up – and get fundraising to help make a difference to Barnsley Hospice.
Our Elf Run is open to everyone. Whether you’re a school, business or community group, you can pick the date, distance and route of your run and get involved. Whether it is laps around your school playground, a walk through your local park or a route starting and ending at your workplace – it all makes a difference!

Every penny makes a difference!
As a charity, we need to raise two-thirds of our running costs on average each year to provide our specialist palliative and end of life care. Fundraisers like our Elf Run bring together our community and help us with our fundraising mission – all whilst having some fun. How do I get involved?
To register your interest, fill out the form below or email the team at fundraising@barnsley-hospice.org. It only takes a few minutes!
Please let us know an estimate of how many ‘elves’ will be taking part and when you’re planning to complete your run. We’ll be in touch to confirm this closer to the time but it will help us ensure all your hats are ready ahead of the big day.
