Amanda joined our Board of Trustees in September 2022.
After working in the public sector for the last 36 years – initially for Barnsley Council – Amanda now holds the post of Head of HR and Organisational Development at Berneslai Homes. Amanda is proud of her career, describing how she ‘started at the bottom’, undertaking a wealth of professional qualifications to get where she is today.
Amanda is the Treasurer and Mentoring Lead for the CIPD (Chartered Institute of Personnel and Development) South Yorkshire and Districts Branch Committee.
On a personal note, she lives with her partner and has a 19-year-old son. Being a big animal lover, she also has two dogs and three cats! Amanda enjoys walking with friends (when time allows) and enjoying our fantastic Yorkshire countryside. Another of Amanda’s passions is renovations, and she professes to have filled quite a few skips over the years.
She is looking forward to getting to know the other trustees and being part of the hospice Board.
