Martine joined the hospice as Chief Executive Officer/Chief Nurse in October 2021.
After qualifying as a registered nurse in 1987, Martine gained over 30 years of experience leading and developing professional practice at organisational, regional and national levels.
Over this time, she has completed further studies in both nursing and leadership practices which, alongside previous roles, have brought a wealth of knowledge and experience to her appointment as CEO/Chief Nurse.
Some of Martine’s previous roles include Professional Advisor for the Nursing & Midwifery Council, Head of Patient Experience (Acute Care) at NHS England and Chief Nurse at the local NHS Clinical Commissioning Group (CCG).
Her aim as CEO/Chief Nurse is to ensure clinical excellence throughout hospice services and strive for continuous improvement.
In her spare time, she likes to walk her dog Archie and enjoy the beautiful sights of South Yorkshire.
