Paul became a Trustee with Barnsley Hospice in the summer of 2024 and then became Chair of the Board in June 2025.
As a retired chartered accountant, Paul uses his experience to help monitor the hospice’s financial performance which is really important in any charity.
In his spare time, Paul loves singing as part of the Barnsley Singers Choir and, as an experienced runner, loves the great outdoors – but he particularly loves combining his two passions wherever possible!
Paul says, “Having been born, educated and lived in Barnsley all my life, and spent half my career working here too, I was keen to ‘give something back’ in the local community to which I owe so much. Barnsley Hospice is a wonderful local organisation which provides support, care and love to local people and their families during the most challenging of times and so it fitted the bill perfectly.”
