Ross joined the hospice as Director of Nursing & AHPs in December 2022.
Previously, Ross has worked as the Assistant Director of Nursing within a large acute trust and as a clinical nurse specialist in palliative care within a large community trust.
Ross has extensive experience within leadership roles in nursing and has completed a master’s in healthcare leadership & management at the University of Leeds. He is a strong advocate of compassionate leadership.
Ross is passionate and committed to engaging with colleagues, enabling them to be ambitious in improving patient outcomes and enhancing the experience for patients and those close to them, as well as hospice employees. He has previously led quality improvement projects related to improving patient experience and recognition of staff contribution within healthcare.
Outside of work, Ross is kept busy with a young son. He also enjoys running, trips to the theatre and spending quality time with family and friends.
